McMahan's Nursery

Current News

If you're looking for unusual shrubs, trees, or perennials, look no further than McMahan's! Our plants are grown on site from seed, cuttings, plugs, or started as young, locally-sourced, bare-root trees and grown on. We use a custom soil mix very similar to native soil that is made right here in Georgia. Scott and I have 35 years of combined experience with gardening in the south and can easily field questions on everything from plant identification to small landscape consultations to presentations on a variety of subjects to large or small gardening groups. Feel free to email us for more information!

McMahan's is located in picturesque Clermont, approximately one hour from Atlanta, just north of beautiful Lake Lanier and Gainesville. We are open for business Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. We would love for you to come see us, however, if the drive is too far from your home please consider a visit to our sister-nursery in Atlanta, Garden*Hood.

Garden*Hood is located in eclectic East Atlanta's Grant Park, just a few blocks from Historic Oakland Cemetery. Garden*Hood is a full-scale nursery with a terrific assortment of plants from veggies to evergreens; unusual trees, seasonal color, high-end pottery, and design/install services.
