The importance of light in the development of plants is well known. The process of Photosynthesis takes place in presence of Sunlight and hence, we can easily understand the role of light for plants. Different kinds of experiments are being done on plants continuously so as to observe their behavior and reaction to different kinds of light waves.
Nocturnal plants are especially helpful in these types of research. As their grown mostly at night, they are more likely to react under artificial light. LED flashlights have been found useful in this process. Light experiments done under LED flashlights have provided some interesting observations regarding Nocturnal plants.
It is to be note that different kinds of plants may react differently under the same frequency of light waves and even with the same color. While some of the plants may show positive results in terms of growth on a certain frequency of light, others may not give that encouraging results. Some species of plants may react negatively in that light frequency as well.
The same theory applies for the reaction of plants under different colors of light. While some species of Nocturnal plants may show positive sign of growth under a certain color, another species might go other way round and show slow development or even negative growth. Hence it is necessary to be creative and versatile while experimenting with them.
Some plants are not used to high frequency of light whereas there are some other plants that are friendly to high frequency of light. At times you might require to regulate different light frequencies and colors to which plants are being subjected, for observation and experimentation. Flashlights come with alternative light frequency arrangements and you would be able to adjust the amount of light and color as per the requirement of the situation.
